You will have the opportunity to meet with employees who represent several different bureaus within our organization.  Each has a different mission that fulfills the Department’s overall vision of promoting and demonstrating democratic values and advancing a free, peaceful, and prosperous world.  Global opportunities are available for experienced professionals with degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Information Technology, Biology, Architecture, and many more.

  • Bureau of Information Resource Management. Applies modern IT tools, approaches, systems, and information products and expands the use of collaborative information development and refinement to provide end users with the most accurate and useful information. Information Management Systems Specialists, Information Management Technical Specialists (Radio and Unified Communications).
  • Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations. Manages the complete lifecycle of real property projects, from the initial architectural designs to the interior design to the operations and maintenance of all facilities.   • Bureau of Diplomatic Security. As the law enforcement and security arm of the U.S. Department of State, DS has worldwide visibility and is a leader in the protection of people, property, and information.  Security Engineering Officers, Security Technical Specialists
  • Bureau of Medical Services. Maintains and promotes the health of diplomats and their family members who represent U.S. government agencies abroad.  Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Laboratory Scientists, Doctors, Psychiatrists.
